It's a...

Amniocentesis was today and it was totally easy! Didn't hurt a bit, though I was a little shaken up from the idea of it. The needle was 5 inches long and the procedure took about 20 seconds to draw the fluid. I had a little pain/cramp afterward but its gone now. It was less agonizing than a blood test!

The doctor said that the ultrasound showed what looked like a perfectly healthy baby, with no clenched fists like Trisomy 18 babies have. We'll get the official results in 11-14 days, but so far so good.

And... IT'S A GIRL! WOO HOO! I will be one child closer to completing my little feminist army.
