Owwww

My coochie hurts. I ripped out a few stitches and am going to the doctor today. I am pretty sure it is from chasing a certain toddler around.

On the other hand, baby Vivian (whom we are nicknaming Ivy, bwahaha!) is a pretty good baby so far. She slept 4 hours straight the other night. I'm not getting my hopes up though since she is only slightly over a week old. She might just be messing with us. Babies are crafty like that.

Labor and delivery and even recovery (busted stitches aside) were soooo much easier the second time! I walked into my weekly checkup at 6-8 cm dialated and didn't even know it. The doc had a golf game the next day so we went over to the hospital that night to have the baby (convienent, huh?) I got the IV, the epidural, and after the pitocin started the baby was born about 45 minutes and 15-20 contractions later. We were joking around during the whole thing, except when the penicilin went through the IV because it hurt so bad I cried. I hate IVs. They are the worst thing about baby birthing IMO. Nursing is a lot easier too. My boobs hurt for only two days and then it was just like picking up where I left off with Evie. I wasnt expecting it to be so easy! Frankly I think I deserve it after all those lousy migraines, right?

My midwife busted out the silver nitrate(!) when my stitches didn't heal correctly.
Burning burning burning!
I like Ivy as a nickname.

Jenna and Andrew:

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby girl, Vivian (aka Ivy). We have been following your adventures through this pregnacy and Evie's adventures through your blog! We love the pictures. Ginger sent us the one with Evie holding her new little sister - so cute!!! I have shared the picture with Jim and Jennifer and they both send their love also. Jennifer said she sure would like to see all of ya'll as would Jim and I. It has been a while hasn't it? We love all of you and wish you the best. Give Evie and Vivian a big hug for us.

Love, Jane, Jim and Jennifer

Congrats! Labor was definitely better my second time around too. Quicker, at least.

I keep watching for new pictures!

Okay, I'm jealous about the boob thing; my nunus never filled up and I'm on drugs to make 'em comply. And my cooter STILL hurts, 3 months later!!! I'm so happy your second time was so cakey and your baby is BEAUTIFUL and I love the names Ivy and Vivian, she's gonna be fantabulous like her momma and her older sis.
