Spend! Spend! Spend!

As a stereotypical SF Bay Area, left wing, progressive, disenfranchised aging hipster/yuppie, the consumerism of the holiday season obviously irritates me (honestly, day after Thanksgiving shopping? I'd rather give myself a lobotomy with a dull spoon). But I still love to buy shit for people. Maybe I'm a hypocrite? Whatevs. My holiday shopping is all done. To try to "do my part" for small business I frequented the local independently owned toy store, our friend's wine business and Ebay. Mostly. but.... I cannot wait to bust out that Easy Bake oven! I have a 100 watt bulb at the ready, and I feel like I'm 8 years old again!

In a week the girls are off of school so we are going to spend vacation mostly at Yosemite (PLEASE LET IT SNOW) and loafing around in an Irish coffee stupor for the New Year.

Speaking of consumerism, Joan Jett Barbie - indeed- rocks!
